Well ! Times have changed and so have we and we will continue to change as we fight this virus!
As you are aware we have been risk assessed to open known as Covid secure and we are pleased to announce that will be open for business as not-usual from Monday the 27th of July.
We have worked hard to make it as safe as possible for you to return but we have had to make a few changes and do things a little differently.
Copies of risk assessments will be sent out starting Monday 27th if you have requested one, these are an ongoing process to keep us all secure, safe and most importantly get the relevant help where and when needed. Please bear with us, call us during office hours if you need to see a copy with your email address and we will send to you asap.
We have placed distancing markers and signs for all activities inside both our units and will ask you to stay at you allocate space for your session other than lunchtimes we will explain in detail on your day.
The computer suits have screen between a reduced number of machines to enable safe distancing.
We will expect you to wash your hands regularly and we will provide you hand sanitiser and washing facilities.
We will ask you not to keep touching your eyes, nose and mouth and you may want to wear a surgical mask which we are providing at each centre and bring your own tissues.
We will ask you to bring in your own lunch if you can and we will still be selling our usual snacks but no longer provide meals. We will supply tea, coffee & squash and make sure your cups & glasses are clean as usual, but we will be asking that you bring the exact money, or prepay for future sessions.
We will make sure you do no need to share things in your session as we will give you your own materials and crockery. Tools, art equipment, fixings, paper etc. We will not be open to our usual help yourself but will be ask a staff member and they will hand to you.
We will ask that you leave anything you use in your work area or placed in the used tool box so staff can clean and sanitise for the next day.
We will keep everything clean, by wiping down tables and contact points (door handles) using the proper cleaning products.
Staff my wear aprons and gloves and sometimes masks for their duties this is called PPE.
We will keep the building extra clean through the day (toilets and equipment)
We will not allow visitors onsite unless pre-booked and with a good reason they will have to wait outside until a staff member collects them.
We have been writing a risk assessment just for you so we can support your needs in the best way.
All staff are trained and up to date about Corona-virus and follow government guidance.
It is very important that we ask if you or your family member, housemate or paid carer have any symptoms like a cough or temperature you do not come in and let us know.
We will need you to go home if you display any symptoms and you will need to contact 111 and possibly have a test. You will not be able to return for at least 14 days or until you had a negative test.
We will go through some of the ways to keep safe when you return and will give you some information to share and take home.
We know this has been a scary time and there will be some changes, but the staff are really looking forward to seeing you and we hope you will enjoy being back and seeing some of your friends.
There is a simple form you can download which we would like you to sign and return by email or bring with you, so we know you are aware of the changes.
Looking forward to seeing you!
